Epic Games fixes Fortnite Mighty Monument Glitch, No More Flying Foundation

A new comic flaw was recently discovered in Fortnite that causes a giant Statue of Power statue to fly.

Earlier today, Epic Games announced that Monument to the Mighty players have fixed a disappointing flaw. The delay caused a huge statue to fly away as soon as players threw it on an all-terrain tire.

While Epic Games generally runs a pretty tight ship, Fortnite’s flaws and shortcomings are rarely this dramatic. However, it is not surprising that the long existence of this defect was discovered. Who would have thought that a tire could throw a giant statue?

As soon as they found the bug, fans immediately tested it. Some have made it a personal challenge as the best way to topple a statue.

But, unfortunately, for the fun it shares with players over its own attempted bugs, it definitely caught Epic’s attention at some point. Announced by an official @FortniteStatus In last night’s report, the bug was fixed: “We fixed the issue where the Mighty Monument statue wasn’t firmly attached to its foundation – and we appreciate everyone’s fun clips!”

While mistakes can be frustrating, those that provide fun and never break the game are easily forgiven. Many fans hoped Epic would see the fun side and keep what some are calling “the most harmless delay ever”.

Who knows, maybe they’ll find a way to turn it into a more targeted feature somewhere out there.
