FIFA 23’s crossplay systems were revealed and unveiled during FIFA Ultimate Team Deep Dive.
Cross-platform play is what many see as a necessity in modern gaming. Popular games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, and more have modernized this feature, and FUT is finally getting that treatment in FIFA 23. Deep Dive details three main areas: matchmaking, the transfer market, and leaderboards.
Here’s everything you need to know about FIFA 23’s crossplay systems.
Last matches by team
Players can now play cross-platform matches in 1v1 mode on Xbox, PlayStation and PC in FUT. These modes include Ultimate Dreamt, FUT Champions, Division Rivals, Online Friendlies, and Play a Friend. As mentioned in Deep Dive, this is a feature to choose from. If players don’t want to participate in crossplay, they shouldn’t.
This applies to the same generation of console gamers. According to EA, there won’t be cross-platform play from PlayStation 5 to Xbox One, for example.
Final Team Transfer Market
Deep Dive’s biggest announcement will now be a single, shared global transfer market for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X|S and Stadia. PC and Nintendo Switch will have their own transfer markets.
Ultimate Team Rankings
There will also be a global leaderboard for all platforms in Ultimate Team.
