The FIFA 23 Ultimate Team pack animations were revealed in Ultimate Team Deep Dive, which aired on August 11.

Pack animation is one of the most exciting parts of FIFA Ultimate Team every year. Fans want to know when a player left the game and how to find out more. The animation was disguised as a quick clip in the FUT Moments section of the trailer, so we have some information. But maybe we’re missing a few little details that we wouldn’t have had to try before Early Access and EA Play.

At 0:27 in the video above, an animated clip of Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. begins with the old FIFA 22 rankings.

The first step is to make it look like a FIFA 22 animation with the player card immediately highlighted. The forecourt background gave a more gorgeous feeling when unboxing. A common complaint about the animation last year was that it was too fast and took the excitement out of games like FIFA 18, 19 and 20.

It’s unclear if the cumulative score at the top of Vinicius Jr.’s card is a new feature or just a special effect added to the trailer. If this is a new feature, it’s an improvement over last year’s animation where players waited for a number to be announced.

The animation has more nuance than before, but fans can always hope that a little more will emerge before its September 30 release.
