FIFA 23 Ultimate Team Chemistry announced

FIFA 23 Ultimate Team takes a look at how team chemistry works.

Throughout FUT’s history, team chemistry has been an integral system. Players may or may not bond with other players depending on their nationality and team. There are also special items like icons that connect any of your teams. EA Sports is eliminating traditional team links and rosters where players now connect with anyone on their team if they bid without a neighbor link.

According to EA Sports’ announcement, here’s everything you need to know about the new chemistry system in FUT 23.

Simplified links

Players now connect into your starting 11 wherever they are on the pitch. Get Liverpool’s dynamic full-back duo of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson. Having both players on your squad will give them a chemical boost at team, league, and country level. In the example above, the presence of TAA and Robertson opens up a chemistry point by having Liverpool’s two most needed players. They are also heading for Premier League chemistry, Scotland and England points.

Chemical indicators

Chemistry no longer operates on a scale of zero to 10. Instead, the scale runs from zero to three. Chemistry continues to affect player stat increases in-game, but there are now new ways to increase these buffs and connections.

Like chemistry, location modifiers are getting an overhaul. Players now have up to three secondary locations that they can move to using Universal Consumables. For example, Joao Cancelo plays both left-back and right-back for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City shirt. Players can use the location selector to move the player to secondary locations.

Attributes

This is probably the biggest change in a chemical system. Players will no longer be affected by low or no chemistry. Players will now work with zero connections or no positions as their base stats have been adjusted. Players don’t have to worry about Kylian Mbappé losing important stats if they want to play outside of his position. Having chemistry only increases the player’s stats in the game.

FUT Icons and Heroes

“Some of the most memorable players in gaming history – FUT Icons and Heroes give your team a unique chemistry edge, and if you play in the right position, they’ll always be in perfect chemistry. FUT 23 Icons , EA Sports said in a statement, are an additional player for their nation and FUT Heroes as an additional player associated with the league.
