EA Sports confirmed on Wednesday the presence of a World Cup mode in the next version of FIFA 23.
In line with its partnership with FIFA, the international governing body of football, EA has unveiled a game mode for the upcoming World Cup. According to EA, the new feature will allow players to “experience the pinnacle of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 as content updates post -launch at no additional cost”.
EA announced the new World Cup mode on Twitter and released a trailer showcasing the mode on YouTube the same day.
The confirmation came a few months before the 2022 World Cup, which will take place from November 21 to December 18. FIFA 23, currently available for pre-order, will launch on September 30, giving players a few extra months to adjust. Until the new game before the start of the real World Cup. The World Cup game mode should launch closer to the actual start date of the World Cup.
FIFA 23’s World Cup mode will continue the tradition of EA Sports FIFA women’s international matches that began with FIFA 16.
