EA Sports announced on Tuesday that its long-running football franchise has been renamed EA Sports FC since 2023.
EA Sports announced its exclusive partnership with FIFA, which ended in October 2021, causing public confusion. Fans weren’t sure if a name change would mark the end of the franchise’s dominance in the space, other than the name of the next game. This ambiguity has now been resolved, and it has been pushed back a year by another title to have a FIFA name.

Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and VOLTA Football will all be there.In the statement, Cam Weber, Executive Vice President, Group General Manager of EA Sports and Racing, said.

FIFA 23, the latest title in EA Sports’ partnership with FIFA, will be released this year, after which EA Sports FC will take the flagship football series into the company’s portfolio.
“EA SPORTS FC will allow us to realize that future and more…but not until we deliver our most complete game for another year with our current sectarian rights partner, FIFA. We are ready to make the next FIFA our game. “It’s better than ever with more features, game modes, World Cup content, clubs, leagues, competitions and players than ever before. any FIFA title,” Weber said.
Fans are wondering if the change to EA Sports FC marks the shift from the annual release to the service’s direct title. EA Sports will share more information about EA Sports FC in the coming months.
