FIFA 22 is the first installment in a virtual football series that tests the functionality of cross-play. According to this FIFA 22 live communication account on Twitter, Cross-Game Quizzes are now available online for Friends and Seasons in FIFA 22.
Crossplay allows players to play against their friends or other players outside of their own console. Games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Overwatch allow players to play online with other systems, but FIFA has never done this before. Here’s how to enable crossplay in FIFA 22.

As mentioned earlier, Crossplay is now live in Online Friendlies and Online Seasons. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | Cross-play testing is available for all S and FIFA 22 Stadia Edition players.
In the FIFA 22 main menu, you can find the widget that can be opened by requesting the appropriate button in the lower right corner. This allows you to enable or disable crossplay. According to EA, with this widget you can find friends regardless of their platform, block and/or mute someone if you wish.
To be able to play Cross Country with a friend online in this test, you must first open the widget mentioned above and add your friend to your in-game friend list. You can search for your friend by plate -form or by EA username as shown in the on-screen button request. Once you find your boyfriend’s name, select him and choose to add him as a friend. Your friend must accept your request in the widget.
To play with a friend, you can select their name from your friends list in the widget and follow the button instructions to invite them to the game. You can also enter online friend mode and invite your friend to the match by selecting your friend from the list on the screen.
You can also upgrade to online seasons and check out the crossplay feature. Usually matchmaking finds a suitable competitor and it may or may not end up on a different platform than you. Very simple!
It’s unclear how long this test will last in FIFA 22 or if we’ll see it in Ultimate Team, but we do know the feature should be fully integrated into FIFA 23.
