One of the biggest discoveries with the new EA Pitch Notes released online in conjunction with FIFA 22 is the brand new cross-platform gameplay test available in select game modes. FIFA 22 was not cross-platform or even generational until now. Players could only access other players on the same console and generation. However, since this is only a test, the platformer will not be available for all platforms or all mods.
Are there any candidates?

According to EA, the FIFA 22 cross-platform test will be available exclusively to users of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia versions of the game.
Also, for now, crossplay will only be available in online game seasons and online friend modes. This is done on a limited scale to prevent a lot of new issues until combat in other game modes is fixed. Hopefully, players on older consoles will soon have access to cross-platform matchmaking, as will be introduced for the rest of the game in FIFA 22.
