Nearest Mid Range: M13
With its high rate of fire, the M13 shares similarities with the Assault Rifle class as well as the SMG. Still, it’s a great weapon to have for mid-range and melee combat. The inversion is minimal and can be compensated by attachments. It is essential to equip the gun with high capacity guns, otherwise you will be left in a dry state all the time.
Best ranged combat: M4A1
The M4 is a classic rifle that can rightly appear in all modern COD games. The gun is a skilled work horse that can be modified for any job, just like in real life. However, it is better suited for dealing with mid-range enemies. It stands slightly opposite the M13 with good damage and high recoil. Its main attachments focus on recoil and ADS management, such as better stock and lula recoil. All in all, a good choice for dealing with multiple mid-range enemies.

If you’re looking for a versatile gun suitable for even wider situations than the M4, the STG 44 is for you. It is best used at medium and long range, but can also be used at close range if necessary, since the gun has minimal recoil and can capture at least one enemy if you are not in a building. Although this weapon needs tons of add-ons to become viable, with the right hands it can be very effective and take an entire match.
