One of the most feared weapons in the Call of Duty series seems to return in Modern Warfare II – The Riot Shield.
The essence of the series was seen in the recently released Campaign Early Access teaser, but only to confirm that the featured weapon will be equipped in MW2 and Warzone 2.0.
After five seconds, the seemingly new Riot Shield emerges not only in its rage-inducing glory, but also with the ability to hold a full MP5 SMG for its wearer.
as many have rated on twitterHowever, it’s certainly possible that the ability to use SMGs with the Riot Shield was reserved for AI only in the game’s campaign, as it was in the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009.
The AI also did this in the MW2 2009/Spec Ops campaign. I doubt it’s multiplayer. pic.twitter.com/GwzfHW5VSP

After all, Riot Shield made its CoD debut with Modern Warfare (2009), so it’s probably true that it will return in the reboot’s sequel – especially since it looks like all the maps from the original offering will be possibly added.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be released worldwide on October 28.
