It looks like Infinity Ward is trying to turn back time for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II by overhauling all of the iconic maps from the original MW2 (2009).
While previous leaks have suggested that some of the OG offerings may return, this new rumor suggests players should expect more from the new game.

The leak was posted to Twitter by Call of Duty leaker @TheGhostOfHope on Wednesday, saying the information came from a “trusted source”.
“Infinity Ward plans to release all/almost all maps of all Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps simultaneously after the release of Modern Warfare II (2022),” wrote TheGhostOfHope. “It will most likely be Year 2 content.”
Interesting information I just heard from a reliable source…

If this leak turns out to be real, it would definitely be a pleasant surprise for CoD fans, given how popular the original MW2 maps have been so far.
As mentioned earlier, the following four fan-favorite maps from the original MW2 in 2009 are set to return, not only for the new main title, but also for the upcoming Warzone 2.0 map itself:
So far, Infinity Ward has officially unveiled two new 6v6 multiplayer maps coming with MW2: Marina Bay Grand Prix and Farm 18.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be released worldwide on October 28.
