The launch of the new franchise, Call of Duty: Next, was announced on September 15.
Billed as a showcase for “the impending future of Call of Duty,” Activision announced Call of Duty: Next during CDL Champs 2022. According to the official blog post, the showcase will be hosted by Infinity Ward and will feature “powerful drops information detailing what’s new, live gameplay and more.
The showcase will also give fans a full reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer gameplay. Images of the upcoming mod were previously leaked by NFL players during a first hands-on preview, but were quickly deleted.
Players will also have a chance to win more Early Access Beta Codes for Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward also announced the dates for the Modern Warfare 2 open beta, which will take place over two weekends in late September.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, 2022.
