The latest group of Call of Duty (COD): Warzone fans and geeks has players – not for the reason you might think.
In a post on the official CODWarzone subreddit, user danielhollenbeck13 expressed his disappointment with the rotating meta effect. According to them, this “makes the new weapon incredibly challenging for casual players, regardless of skill level.”
The user explained that his normal job prevents him from spending the same amount of time with other gamers, especially during the winter and summer months when many take a break from their actual engagements. This prevented them from upgrading certain weapons and made half of the game harder.
“Today I played for the first time since April and broke the start of the game. Even 6 kills before the bootloader arrived. They wrote to them.
Others agree and confirm that Daniel Hollenbeck13 is not the first to write on this subject. Responses suggested this could be part of Activision’s strategy to lure players into a specific part of the franchise.
Meanwhile, several critics argued otherwise. One suggested that the time it takes to grind a gun when done well is actually “reasonable”. Another argued that the meta is actually a lot more open than players realize, and there are plenty of weapons that are viable.
Unfortunately, it looks like players will have to settle for slower progression depending on how much time they can devote to the game.
