Ranked mode is coming to Warzone

Years have passed, but finally a ranked game mode is coming to Call of Duty Warzone. Warzone has been a fan favorite since its inception. But one thing that was still missing was a ranked game mode.

Warzone has lost quite a bit of popularity over the years due to games like Apex Legends. Apex has always had a well-organized ranking system, and Warzone only had casual game modes for years. Ranked systems have always been popular with players and have been requested by the Call of Duty community for some time.

According to Call of Duty player and leaker @TheGhostofHope, ranked mode will be implemented before the launch of Modern Warfare Two, which is slated for release in late October.

According to his tweet, ranked mode will only be available on the Caldera map. Ranked will not apply to Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island.

The soon-to-be-introduced ranked mode serves as a beta test. Although Raven Software uses this time to test the system and find and fix potential bugs.

After being tested in the current Warzone, the final version of the ranking system will be implemented with Warzone 2. Warzone 2 is expected to launch alongside MW2, but a release date has yet to be announced.

However, the ranked mode that we will see in the current Warzone does not yet have an official release date. This should happen either with the start of Season 5 or with Season 4 Reloaded at the end of the month.

Your rank progress is currently unknown. It can use the point system that we see in games like MMR (Match Making Rating) or Fortnite, that we see in games like Rocket League.
