Our Warzone Assault Rifles series for July 2022 is here to help you figure out which weapons are the best to use, as the new meta has again been tweaked slightly following the launch of Raven Software’s latest balancing update.
Since the first patch of Season 4, Warzone has certainly seen the gap between overpowered options and current AR class options narrow a bit. Hence, how assault rifles stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 in July 2022.

Layers
At the S Tier, there are eight ARs that remained the main parts of the meta in Season 4. The NZ-41 remains at the top for now, but barely, while the KGs M40, M13, Cooper Carbine, BAR and Vargo 52 continue. To get even closer to change. Meanwhile, the Nikita AVT, AS44, and Cooper Carbine remain the best sniper support AR options.
Arrange
Tier A has several variants which are the most effective and generally remain balanced for use in Warzone. Essentially, these ARs sit outside of the main meta, but can still get the job done and keep you competitive. Continuing the trend discussed earlier, now is the best time for fans to reveal long-lost favorites like the Black Ops Cold War AK-47, Grau 5.56, and M4A1.
B-level
These weapons remain valid at Tier B, but could still use a small balloon to entice more players to seriously consider using them. Unfortunately, the fun ends there. Ultimately, some are still quite popular, but statistically unreasonable compared to the weapons above.
layer C
Whether for long-range support or sniping, these C-rank rifles aren’t even close to making their way into the meta and definitely need some upgrading in Warzone.
