There is a bug in Warzone that crashes player matches before they start. Here’s what you need to know.
Another week, another Warzone bug. This time, players encountered issues in the pre-match lobby, making subsequent matches impossible. The issue occurs when players go out of bounds in the pre-game lobby.
Players load into the match with a continuous “Return to Combo Zone” message on screen if they are in the Out of Bounds Zones during the Start Timer countdown.
Worse, distracting sounds will also play constantly, making it difficult to concentrate, let alone hear the footsteps of approaching enemy players.
Players have been posting their experiences of this latest bug on Reddit, and luckily there seems to be a way to fix it.
According to some players, the bug should be fixed as soon as they die in the game. However, other commenters pointed out that the issue exists even after death.
Others suggested an out-of-bounds death during the match, rendering the warning itself pointless. Drop damage is also known to help fix the error. One user suggested that if you “go out of bounds and it stops again” players wouldn’t even need to die.
Although how to solve the problem may seem controversial, one way to avoid the error is to stay in the designated areas while waiting for the pre-game.
