That being the case, it’s probably no surprise that players wonder if collecting cosmetics in a new game is worth their years. Here are the looks on whether to transition from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

With the worldwide release of MW2, Activision confirmed on June 8 that inventory and player progression will be restored for Warzone 2.0. All cosmetics from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard will not be delivered for use in the new Battle Royale.

“To take full advantage of this cutting-edge experience,” states the Activision Developer Blog, “Warzone 2.0 will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with new progression and inventory.”

The original Warzone title and servers will still be live for the foreseeable future, which means the items and player progression will still be there, but in no way will they migrate to the new Warzone experience.

“Today’s Warzone will continue as a distinct experience within the Warzone experience that includes continued player and inventory evolution,” Activision said. Said. “We look forward to sharing more detailed information with you soon.

Overall, it will be interesting to see how Activision handles this process moving forward.

When Blizzard hands over the Overwatch skins for its sequel, Activision’s failure to pursue it without public acknowledgment or compensation will cause quite a bit of controversy.
