The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II “Dark Water Level Gameplay” trailer was released during the Summer Game Fest show, giving fans a real taste of the game’s upcoming campaign experience.
Approximately eight minutes of gameplay appear in footage from Operation Dark Water, the start of the campaign mission in Modern Warfare 2.
The mission was launched thanks to intelligence from Task Force 141, which showed the missiles hidden on the offshore platform. Task Force 141 and Shadow Company were therefore tasked with climbing onto the platform, eliminating enemy forces and disarming the missile, not knowing if their intelligence was really good or if it was a missile.
Soap, the Ghost, and a team of Mexican Special Forces Operator Alejandro are dispatched to battle harsh weather conditions before encountering the enemy.
The vantage point following this mission is Soap, where we see a platoon line up as they line up and take out enemies in the lower offices and catwalks.
This is where players can get a first look at the modern Warfare (2019) engine which is still featured prominently in this upcoming game.
The rest of the trailer shows unnamed weapons and add-ons.
However, perhaps the most impressive detail to consider is the sound design, which plays an important role in this task thanks to the large number of weather and environmental phenomena.
“This is just one example of how campaign missions will be more dynamic and dynamic,” he said in the Activision Developer Blog, “the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has started to innovate compared to previous games. Not only will players have to resist enemy forces, but they may also have to sneak up on things like going underwater near enemy territory.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released worldwide on October 28, 2022.
