Although Warzone 2 hasn’t been announced twice, let alone an official release date, a recent report from gaming celebrity Tom Henderson suggests the new Battle Royale experience will run from December 2022 to January 2023.
While Modern Warfare 2 may seem like the last COD game, this is probably the most obvious detail about Warzone 2 so far. Released on PS4 and Xbox OneWarzone 2 looks to be making a splash.
According to Henderson, back in January the whole prerequisite for Warzone 2 was that Infinity Ward was a “clean slate” to work on, that would have eliminated anything resembling previous Warzone weapons and operators, and would have built the game on a new engine for the next generation. had to build. Power in mind.
While this may indeed cause some controversy if true, it certainly makes sense given that Raven Software has clearly considered the limitations of current-gen consoles that have impacted their development for Warzone at this day.
For those of you working on a computer similar to MW2, Warzone 2 may be available on Steam outside of Battle.net.
On May 25, a new leak surfaced that revealed the sight of a new Warzone 2 flagship mapbird with several matching POIs, which Henderson announced a week ago.

At first glance, many seem to point out that in terms of the supposed map layout, it looks more like Black Ops 4 Blackout than Warzone.
In April, @TheGhostOfHope tweeted that the Warzone 2 map “will take heavy inspiration from Medellin, Colombia.” This, of course, indicates that the “Modern City” POI will almost certainly be a remake of the original Favela 2009 map, given that Henderson has announced that Highrise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan will return to both MW2 and Warzone. 2. In. .
On May 31, Henderson announced that a second map for Warzone 2 “similar in size to Rebirth Island” is “in development” and will likely be released “some time after” the new Battle Royale release.
On May 17, popular YouTuber NerosCinema said in a video that while loadouts will return to Warzone, the way to get them will be different. Instead of depositing money at the Buy Station to provide a loadout as usual, “They will be locked behind these objects called Fortresses.”
The AI-controlled base appears to be spread across a new lighthouse map, and players must complete objectives within (e.g. “break into a building” or “detonate a bomb”) to unlock their loadouts.
On May 17, NerosCinema noted in a video that “bag system promotion continues.” With this system, as with other Battle Royale games like DayZ and H1Z1, all items and equipment are likely to take up inventory space. It is unknown if the weight of the backpack will affect the player’s speed and stamina.
Additionally, NerosCinema added that instead of allowing players to store a few plates by default, they may soon “need a bag to re-equip”.
On May 21, Henderson announced that the Warzone 2 loot system will adopt a location-based management system similar to the Tarkov Wallet system or the Resident Evil 4 Attache Case mechanic. It looks like players will have to maneuver around objects like a gun-based Tetra game to place their junk (e.g. ammo, assassinations, weapons). The different layers of the bag allow for more storage space.
On April 28, TheGhostofHope tweeted that “Modern Warfare II will feature a firing range.” “We can assume this will also come in Warzone 2,” they added on Twitter.
On May 17, NerosCinema announced in a video that the must-have shooting range feature will be enabled with Warzone 2, according to the source.
On May 21, Henderson announced that in addition to MW2, Pro Perks would indeed return to Warzone 2, allowing players to complete challenges to unlock better versions of base offerings. While Pro Perks certainly seems to work well removing Strongholds, it’s not entirely clear if it’s possible to install them before the Loadouts game.
On May 15, TheGhostOfHope tweeted that thanks to MW2’s third mode, the DMZ, players will be able to take skins, photos and more, and eventually market them for use in Warzone 2.
