It looks like players have not just one new map, but two maps in the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone 2 sequel.
Over the past month, it’s been a bit difficult to keep up with the plethora of rumors and leaks regarding both Modern Warfare 2 and the new “Warzone Experience” coming later this year. While Warzone 2’s main map has recently caught the public’s attention, leaks are already revealing its plan and the POIs appear to belong to Activision and its partners. They plan to offer a similar formula in next-gen Warzone with a nearly quarter used map to be released after launch.

According to an eXputer report from renowned gaming expert Tom Henderson on Tuesday, “sources” suggest that a second map for Warzone 2, “similar in size to Rebirth Island”, is “in development” and will likely be released “one day”. “. After starting the new Battle Royale.
Henderson wrote that a source who attended the Warzone 2 Playtest recently stated that the map is in the “visible game menu” but is currently “in early stages of development” and therefore unplayable for this session.
Henderson also continued to speculate that if the Warzone content trend continues, the secondary map should be released in December 2023, during the second year of Modern Warfare 2’s development cycle.
After Warzone released in March 2020, Rebirth Island joined the battle in December 2020 as part of Black Ops Cold War’s first season content.
Of course, despite all the leaks and rumors, feel free to take all of this information with a grain of salt until it’s officially announced by Activision.
The full version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for June 8 and will be released worldwide on October 28.
Warzone 2 is set to drop from December 2022 to January 2023, although the official release date hasn’t been announced twice, let alone.
