Modern Warfare 2 is a milestone in the Call of Duty series, where many leaks showed gameplay changes in different game modes. In the latest wave of leaks, a Call of Duty announcer announced that Modern Warfare 2 would launch with base skill-based matchmaking changes.
Rumors of these changes have already surfaced from other whistleblowers, but the new information we have on SBMM looks positive and will hopefully bring more balanced and fair matches to many players. According to Call of Duty Revealer and WhatIfGaming writer Ralph Valve, someone close to Modern Warfare 2 has shared the changes to be made to the system.
Upgrade to Isonuclear when you reach level 85 in the Season 3 Combat Pass.

To start, MW2 will introduce Bot Pools in a match summary for players whose skills and stats are allowed to enter those lobbies. This new system is designed for a specific “subdivision” of players and is also just one of many “access options” that come with a new title.
The partner also revealed that closed lobbies are likely to remain, arguing that “if removed, SBBM will dissolve.” Again, these are just leaks, but encouraging signs that the developers behind Modern Warfare 2 are well on their way to making CoD fairer for players moving forward into the next game. We should wait for more leaks to see no more changes in SBMM or other multiplayer factors before MW2 launch.
