Vanguard Ranked Game Beta Delayed

Treyarch said earlier today that the Call of Duty: Vanguard ranked play beta has been delayed.

Shortly before the live stream, Treyarch Studios announced that the Vanguard ranked play beta had been delayed “due to a stats breach that only occurred in a live environment.” The emergence of such a problem has caused a delay in the launch of the studio, although it is not known when a new launch will take place. The mod was originally scheduled for release today, February 17.

Treyarch wrote in a post on Twitter, “Fixing this issue is a top priority and we’ll provide an update as soon as possible on schedule.” Noted.

Vanguard’s ranked play was a highly anticipated feature since the game’s November release date. Many players were hoping that some features from previous games, like the Skill Division or the ELO system, would carry over to this competitive mode.

Another feature of ranked play is the rewards it offers. Competitors often have a chance to win prizes based on their performance, operator skins, weapon skins, calling cards, and more. All of these items will be usable in Vanguard and Warzone, allowing players to show off their skills more.

Considering how long they’ve been waiting for the opposing regime, there’s no doubt that the delay will be frustrating for many fans. Still, fixing the stat breach issue seems to be the most pressing task for Treyarch, so it probably won’t be long before the beta is released.
