While there is no friendly fire in Apex Legends, there are plenty of ways to surprise your team in a game that isn’t too serious, whether intentionally or accidentally. A Reddit user has found a new way to troll your squad by accidentally posting them to the portal using Valkyrie’s Ultimate feature.
Valkyrie’s Ultimate allows the player to launch skyscrapers from anywhere on the map with nothing on you and take your team with you to avoid a dire situation. This ability can be useful for enemies that hit you or quickly leave the area. But as seen in a KaiLoVan clip of a Reddit user with his team, players should be aware of this ability.
Once KaiLoVan launches Tsisdaive, using the Valkyrie to move his team from the edge to the safe zone, the race proceeds as normal. That is, until the team reaches the launch peak, the user randomly sends two teammates to the portal above, leaving them in a circle while the user dives for a safe dive.
It was an honest mistake not to notice the portal above them, but a fun clip was made in response to the team. KaiLoVan has no idea what’s going on until she looks back and sees her teammates at the starting point of the race. Unsurprisingly, those teammates were then destroyed, but going all the way through the hoop after a failed run will be tough.
The next time you launch a rainbow with your team using Valkyrie’s Ultimate, pay attention to what awaits you, you can let go of your teammates and decide their fate.
