Respawn Entertainment Senior Producer Josh Medina has said that the Skulltown map could be returned to Apex Legends.
Longtime players of Respawn’s strategic shooter Apex Legends will remember the now-obsolete Point of Interest (POI), aka Skulltown. It was a popular location before the Kings Canyon upgrade in Season 5, when the area was destroyed to make way for the lobby. Many missed it — and they can if they believe senior producer Josh Medina’s new tweet.
When this new division begins in our beloved KC. We share this beautiful post and we wait for the next season? pic.twitter.com/V66kxC1Id9

Yesterday, Tuesday April 5, at noon, Medina tweeted about a possible relaunch of the POI from his Twitter account. If you believe the message, it could mean that players will have a chance to return to Skulltown next season.
Medina tweeted with the famous meme “As this new crack begins on our beloved KC. Let it disperse well and wait for the next season.
Medina added a photo of CJ, the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas character heading to Skulltown: “Oh bird, we’re back.” Unsurprisingly, the implications of this are pretty obvious and have thrown the public into a firestorm of speculation.
Some have suggested adding Skulltown to Kings Canyon, while others have gone another route, suggesting that Skulltown could be the next mini-arena to add to Control Mode.
Unfortunately, we can’t confirm anything until more information is released or Apex Legends Season 13 kicks off.
