Apex Legends prolific data miner Shrugtal has found plenty of clumps for Rampart in the game’s files, suggesting that Respawn Entertainment has big plans to kickstart character selection gear.
Rampart has never been a central figure in the Apex Legends metagame, but his pick recently dropped to 1.5%, making him the least played legend in the game. Respawn pissed him off in season 10, but it seemed like the increased power level wasn’t enough to put the Amped Modder in the spotlight.
Rampart improvements for Amped Cover on unfinished and currently out of game files:
Health of the first building: 40 -> 120
Upper arm shield expansion delay: 0.25 -> 0.10
Duration of previous armor cast: 0.5 -> 0.3
Deployment delay: 0.5 -> 0.3– Shoulders (@shrugtal) April 1, 2022
Now, Shrugtal has discovered that Respawn is adding potential fans to the game but not pushing them to live servers. The buffs relate to Rampart’s Amped Cover ability, which has since been improved:
It’s unclear why Respawn shut down these fans or if they will go live. If these fans are going to stream, chances are they’ll reveal Apex Legends in Season 13, which is set to launch in early May to mid-May.
