Our Apex Legends Legend tier list for April 2022 is here to determine which character will be best utilized, as Defiance’s new Season 12 meta is still a bit in.
As the meta is right now, there is a wide variety of legends dominating Apex Legends as always. However, that doesn’t mean players can’t determine which characters are slightly better than each other after the Warriors Collection Event patch. Here’s how legends come together in Apex Legends: Season 12 Defiance in April 2022.
Is something strange going on here?

Layers
At the top of the list are four nonsense myths, always useful options in any format. All of these Legends have not seen any changes since Defiance launched, and as such they will continue to dominate as to what they are known for. With the ability to cover any mistakes with a ball, Gibraltar continues to adapt all other characters to their movements. Valkyrie jetpacks are good, Missile Swarm is good, and her ultimate power is a loose ball. Bloodhound’s Wallhacks and Speedhacks remain corrupted. With a good hitbox and portal, Wraith remains the most aggressive character in the game.
Stage
There are five legends in A Tier who only see minor nerfs that remain a solid pick for any team. Arguably the most annoying character in the game, Caustic isn’t that strong after the Season 12 nerfs, but is still a solid pick. Ash as a whole is pretty well balanced and is basically the best mythos for doing damage by replacing octane. Horizon still has a good finish, but Gravity Lift could really use some developer love. Loba is a simple character whose mastery is achieved and the low impact ceiling is broken depending on whether there are more Lobs in the lobby. Crypto is really powerful in a professional game because it can provide a lot of information to the team with knowledge of the territory but not very useful in the rankings.
B-level
These five mythos are more in the middle of the pack and continue to live on in good hands, even as they see strong nerves over time. Now that the Rev-Grain combination is long gone, Octane and Revenant aren’t the most exciting options at the moment. Interesting encounters as Watson and Fuzi help the first team recover the headlights while the second takes the headlights from the others. Pathfinder’s terrible hitbox makes it a tough pick to use in the Rampage LMG and Peacekeeper meta.
C layer
In Meta, Seer, Bangalore, Mad Maggie, Lifeline, Mirage, and Rampart, the six under-selected legends end up in the C-ranks. While there are always those who do well with these legends, these six are often at the bottom leaderboards because they either lag behind, are too situational, or just don’t offer much help to the team.
