A new patch is planned for Apex Legends which brings the long-awaited next-gen upgrades.
Console gamers have been eagerly awaiting the release of next-gen Apex Legend updates. Gamers, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X | Whether or not they owned an S, they continued to use the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the shooter.
Now, with the latest game updates, players can take their game to the next level.

For those who have Apex Legends installed:
- Go to Game Hub for Apex Legends on the PS5 dashboard.
- Click the “Options” button next to “Play Game” (denoted by “…” in Game Center).
- Click “Select Version” and select the PS5 version to download the updated next-gen version.
- Once the download is complete, go to the game library to delete the PS4 version.
For those who don’t have Apex Legends installed:
- Go to the “Your Collection” tab of the games library on the PS5 dashboard.
- Find and select Apex Legends from your list of games.
- When prompted, select the PS5 version to download the updated next-gen version.
Xbox series X | S
Apex Legends uses Smart Delivery on Xbox consoles. The most recent version of the game is automatically delivered to your console, regardless of generation.
