Content creator NICKMERCS recently talked about what needs to be done to save Ranked Battle Royale in Apex Legends Season 14.
At the start of Apex Legends: Hunted, there were a lot of things to discuss, from ring tweaks and a dodgy matchmaking system to some weapon bugs. However, ranking status perhaps remains at the forefront of it all – something that NICKMERCS believes needs a major overhaul.

So, although Respawn Entertainment has already tried to revamp the Kill Points system, it seems that the majority of players are still not playing productively and intelligently in hopes of improving their rankings.
According to NICKMERCS, the answer is simple: “Encourage them enough to improve.”

NICKMERCS also said there should be an in-game ranked leaderboard rather than players relying on third-party tools.
At the end of the day, Apex Legends still has arguably the highest-rated mode in the Battle Royale genre, as even NICKMERCS has revealed, so it’ll be interesting to see if Respawn adopts any of its ideas.
