Apex Legends Pros Sound Disabled in Season 14 Ringtone Setting

The most controversial changes at the start of Apex Legends: Hunted seemed to be changes that made Ring 1 hard to ignore.

Respawn Entertainment changed the first ring to hit as hard as the second ring and close much faster. As a result, players can no longer “tank” the first ring to complete a heist, fight or simply complete a round, as this leads to a high consumption of consumables.

In theory, these moves should make away teams move faster and finish games sooner. Some players in the community have already expressed their displeasure with the changes made to some developers, and now some of the game’s most prominent pros are opposing the changes.

“On the throttle,” TSM Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen said on a recent show, “I don’t think it’s good at all. It’s not true. I’ve been playing the game from the start and the game is so weird I guess that’s because I’m not used to it because I’ve been playing this game for three years now and never had to escape from the first zone until ‘t that I can’t even craft without spawning.

NRG Christopher “sweet dreams” Sexton fully agreed with ImperialHal’s stance on a separate issue, saying the ring setting was “too extreme”.

“I’m about to make things different, so it’s fun again,” Sweetdreams said, “but I don’t like switching throttles. I think the throttle switching is too extreme and messy, even for seasoned pros The game speed is too high.

“Nobody in the game said, ‘Hey, those gas shifts are going to burn! I feel like you didn’t. Is it correct? Either you don’t like it or you don’t care.”

Respawn Entertainment has yet to respond to player complaints.

Apex Legends: Hunted is currently available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Origin, Steam).
