The Apex Legends devs have confirmed that changes are coming to make Kraber less divisive.
Crabber was a hot topic of discussion in the Apex community. This powerful sniper is known for one-shot opponents, with players and pros demanding to remove the weapon from ranked play and competition in general.
Fortunately, Respawn is the producer. Josh Medina He took to Twitter and announced that Kraber’s plans were underway. “We’re trying to promise you less hatred for Crabber,” Medina replied to the crowd, who expressed disappointment with the weapon.

Medina then posted an open-ended question on the topic, asking, “How can we handle Crabber without him: don’t remove him or damage the jitters?”
Many answered the call with their own suggestions. Some have suggested that a small nerf would be enough to prevent the pistol from hitting a well-armed player. Others argued that recycling care packages would be the only way forward.
– Have the narrator play a message that says “Attention, Crabber is playing” whenever someone receives it.
– Laser sight or lighted aim when announced (similar to a Warzone)
– Max 8 rounds instead of 12

Liquid Apex Team Streamer and Team Manager Cross He replied, “Complete the dictator’s message every time someone says, ‘Careful, Crabber is playing’, get it.”
It’s unclear when we’ll see the release of changes for Kraber, given the proposals gathered, it’s likely to be a bit of a stretch again. Either way, it’s clear that Respawn listens to them and wants to maintain the balance.
