In a recent interview with the Apex Legends devs, the Charge Rifle remains the same for Apex Legends Season 14. After the Season 14 trailer, Respawn did some media interviews. One happened with TheLoadout, where the controversial subject of the sniper came up.
The Charge Rifle can be one of the best weapons in the game and can absolutely destroy shields and health. It can do a lot of damage and is inherently dangerous at all levels without recoil. Fans are clamoring for some sort of change, but for now the Charge Rifle remains the same.
Eric Canavese, the game’s lead designer, is the one who spoke to TheLoadout.
“14. There are no plans to do anything about the Charge Rifle this season. However, there are irons in the fire for the sniper to change. We understand some issues with the load rifle…we know how it shoots a little differently…so we’re thinking about it, working on it, but we don’t have anything to announce or plan at this time.

The good news is that Respawn Entertainment is working on something, but it’s so far off that they’re not ready to talk about it. It’s safe to say that this won’t affect servers until Season 15 and beyond.
