Apex Legends devs are concerned that the Vantage set will work on the current Loot RNG

Respawn Entertainment spoke to Dexerto about their concerns about creating a sniper-based legend in Apex Legends. While some Legends tend to stick to a particular style of weapon, Vantage takes this to a whole new level. His entire set screams from afar, and it’s easy to see why. The problem comes from RNG loot. For a remote to work, you need to find a sniper and some sort of scope.

That’s two chances to fail.

Chief Legend Designer Chris Winder spoke about it.

“Sometimes if they can’t find a rifle or LMG, the player might feel like they’re not playing the character properly. We thought about things like that for the Vantage…and it got a little more complicated because in Apex you’re really playing at sniper range, you need a sniper rifle and optics, so you really have to roll the dice twice.

This is where the end game comes in.

“We were worried about it. That’s what we thought the whole time. I think optics with sniper rifle optics really relieve those fears or potential scares and allow you to play any loot game the way you feel about that game.

Whatever they find, players should be sure that the end result will give them a powerful sniper.
