An idea for the popular Apex Legends armor was shared on TikTok before it hit Reddit. Season 14 finally sees the much-requested Golden Knockdown Shield feature that takes away the ability to regenerate.
One of the biggest differences between Apex Legends and other Battle Royale games is the ability to change armor. When players come to drop a loot box. Players can quickly change their body into full armor. No matter if you scratch the armor, it will be fully charged when you receive it.
This created a necessary style as players of higher levels experienced the final teams and changed their armor to participate in the next battle. A Reddit post and a TikTok video discuss the idea of removing this feature together. As you know, the community was quick to disagree, but most people understand that this feature is an integral part of Apex Legends. And Respawn Entertainment should agree. The armor swap idea was supposed to be at launch, but once the meta was established, Respawn quickly picked it up and didn’t let go.
Respawn would have to change its philosophy if it wanted to change this core feature.
