3 Surprising Changes Coming to Apex Legends: Hunted Patch Notes

Apex Legends: Hunted has had all the usual updates when it comes to a new season, and Respawn Entertainment has done a good job with the upcoming features, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t surprises.

We’ve already done a full review of all patch notes covering all aspects, but there have been a few unforeseen changes. Here are the three changes that surprised us the most in the Apex Legends: Hunted patch notes.

Arc Star was not supposed to see such changes, but Respawn must have noticed that the vast majority of players are using Arc Star for all other shooters. In the new season, when you actually hit an opponent, they deal less damage overall, but the burst damage has been increased slightly, meaning the radius is more important than the actual stick. As for slowing, players will only aim slowly during the burst, as intended. When you get stuck, you’ll be at full speed before it explodes, giving you a bit more time to react before slowing down.

Castle wall:

It’s not surprising, but it’s still surprising how badly his equipment has deteriorated. Picking up wounded works a bit better, allowing you to quickly get your teammates out of harm’s way and move faster in different directions. The white and blue knockdown shield buffs will be more useful in early fights until you find better knockdown shields.

The personal mobile shield was very easy to destroy, so the HP buff should really help, and the max movement speed helps the Newcastle Grid move forward and protect the shield. The fortress wall still needs some work and the ‘slow effect’ doesn’t help enough as it’s easy to miss a position or bombard it with snipers. Some sort of damage assist like Rampart can accomplish this.

Ringtone 1 Closing time:

Another subtle point that many do not see. Respawn changed the first ring to spin players faster and hopefully speed up game time. All shutter times have increased overall in the first ring, but this is due to a warning time of Significantly reduced compression and increased damage. The first ring takes the same amount of damage as the second ring, meaning the first two rings take the same amount of damage.

Players can no longer “tank” the first ring to complete a heist or trick, as this will cost a large amount of consumables. This should force away teams to move faster and finish games sooner.
