At the start of Apex Legends Season 14: It looks like players won’t be getting the in-game gifts feature yet, but maybe soon.
Freebies are definitely a highly sought after feature in almost any valuable cosmetic game. The ability to send and receive skins for weapons and characters has long been a useful tool in Fortnite.
According to Evan Nikolic, Senior Design Director at Respawn Entertainment, the developers are already hard at work bringing the giveaway feature to Apex Legends.

According to Dexerto, Nikolic explained during the Apex Legends: Hunted press event that “gifts are actually something we’re actively working on right now.”
“That’s what we tried to include in the game,” Nikolic said. “It’s more complex than just adding a gift, how do you make it right and give the right motivation?”
“When we add any kind of monetization vector to a game, we want it to be something that celebrates something that people enjoy. We want to make sure it’s not cheap or cheesy. Therefore , when we add gifts, we want it to be. It’s something we can take as part of this celebration that takes time to come together.”
Overall, amid the upcoming meta changes and increased level cap, Respawn seems well equipped to lead the show for Season 14 and beyond.
