The #NoApexAugust boycott seems to have failed as the number of players has increased enormously.

It’s no secret that Apex Legends has a huge player base. Respawn has managed to sustain the excitement for 13 seasons and the momentum will peak in just 14. Despite this, Apex has a long history of fan backlash, with many urging Respawn to spend time fixing the game’s issues.

Over the years, fans have come across many bugs and issues that have had a significant impact on gameplay. Some called on Respawn to halt the season just to focus on polishing the game. As the cries were ignored, some fans were taking more drastic action.

Some members of the Apex community have urged players to boycott the game this month to get to know Respawn. The campaign is called #NoApexAugust and aims to reduce the number of players in the game.

However, it reports a Twitter account @_ApexStatusThe campaign appears to have had the opposite effect.

According to the report, the number of Apex players on Steam has increased compared to a week ago. Apex’s “peak population” on Steam has fallen from 336,273 a week ago to 343,481.

Now, this data does not necessarily mean that the total number of players has not decreased. Stats only include those playing on Steam. Player data is not public information on other platforms, which means console users can avoid playing the game.

August is just days away, which means there’s still time for the boycott to continue in full swing. But as @_ApexStatus said, we’re not on anyone’s side, we’re just reporting the numbers.
