Mac “Albralelie” Beckwith, TSM content creator and Cloud9 ALGS surrogate, recently explained why he thinks Seer could soon dominate the meta in Apex Legends.
Especially in a game like Apex Legends, where hero balance changes have been so dramatically requested and criticized by the community, one of the most interesting gameplay developments in recent seasons has been the rise and fall of Seer.
In Season 10, Ambush Artist rushed in as one of the strongest Legends in the game before being heavily nerfed. .
I’m curious how the meta evolved, but my current guess is /valk, which is basically a bubble-free/unbreakable basic aggression-based meta similar to Octane/Hound/Gibb, but with flexible options like your two staples. defence/more aggro (each in case of NA).

“I think purely defensively,” Albrallelli tweeted on July 18, “Seer is kind of revolutionary in terms of refusing to reset. If the meta turns into every team that has a spotter, he’ll be incredibly rare to hit a player Return to zone 4+ during tough times, even at Newcastle.
“I’m interested to see how the meta evolves, but my current guess is basically a lack of bubble/split aggression based meta similar to Octane/Hound/Gibby, but seer/valky are your two basic and flexible choices . defensive/more aggressive. (at least in North America).
As Albralelli points out, Seer’s nets could soon shine in Apex Legends, a character as big as Valkyrie, who dominates pick rates in both ranked and pro play.
During the Year 2 ALGS Championship, Seer was a legend to most of the team.
The next Apex Legends map appears to be set near the seer homeland of Boreas and its shattered moon Cleo, perhaps putting Recon Legend at the forefront of the meta once again.
