Apex Legends players have reported that Octane’s “Infinite Stim” bug from Season 10 has reappeared in Season 12.
Fortunately, this time it’s not so strong. According to player reports, as long as an Octane Net can activate his Excite ability multiple times, his perks will not stack the same. In fact, they never stop, disadvantaging those who abuse this exploitation.
Here’s what we know about imperfection rebirth.
Longtime fans might remember the first iteration of this delay in Apex Legends: Season 10, where the legend was used to both change the pace and reload weapon arms. At that point, players can start reloading and use the boost ability at the same time, cancel the reload animation, and instantly have a weapon at full capacity.
However, this time the Rift works a little differently. It actually acts as the second Octane Stim delay that started in Season 6. According to YouTuber and Apex Legends content creator RossBobSquirrel, players must first perform a ritual to trigger the delay.
Before they can hold a weapon with at least one attachment, players must find the nearest beam and capture it. Then, when suspending, place the jack in your inventory and discard it before raising the gun.
From there, they’ll be able to spam Octane’s Stim ability indefinitely before it drops between uses of Holospray.
At the time of writing, DBLTAP cannot endorse any exploit abuse convictions. However, as soon as Respawn has a branch, you can probably be sure they’ll drop the ban hammer.
