Scanning or finding opponents plays a big role in today’s Apex Legends meta. Many legends have the ability to scan territory or gather information about other players. Bloodhound and Seer are two of the best legends to run with other legends with similar abilities.
The closest thing to digitization is the drone in Call of Duty. The drone will show the player all nearby enemies. One way to not spawn on a drone is to use Ghost or Cold Blooded.
Currently, Apex Legends does not have any abilities or in-game items that can distract you from scanning. It doesn’t matter what they see you. There have been conversations on Reddit between players about how they feel about not exploring the Legend.
While fans are welcoming this possible idea, Apex Legends creator John “Jaybeebs” Larson said he’s “not thrilled with the idea of an anti-crawling legend.”
The idea of an anti-crawling myth doesn’t excite me. Mainly due to meta-scanning, the meter is now tied to a specific indicator that limits options.

So the anti-cold-blood scan myth seems unlikely at this time. JBibs later pointed out that, as we saw in the Seer meta, “crawl” can mean a lot of things in Apex. It’s a very different feeling. The myth-specific agnostic options are more interesting to me personally.
Adding an anti-scan legend makes it almost a necessity in every game. Overall, there would be less variety in Apex compared to Legends. Instead, each team consisted of two different Legends, with the third being an Anti-Browser.
Dev seems to be aiming to balance existing legends that can crawl, rather than adding a hidden legend. They have yet to specify a date when these changes will take place, but we can assume that the middle of next month could be the start of Season 14.
