Got the Steam Deck, but want to know if it can run Apex Legends? Here’s what you need to know.
One of the best things about the competitive games available is that they are often playable on multiple platforms. No matter what console or system you have, you usually have a good chance of accessing the most popular games. With the imminent release of Valve’s Steam Deck, many people are wondering what games can be played on the system that are available in Steam libraries.
Valve is in the process of cataloging all games available through its service and rating them as played in the Steam Deck. There is a feature on Steam that lets you test your current Steam library for compatibility, but there are still plenty of unverified games out there.
What about Apex Legends? Will it be compatible with the Steam Deck?

As of this writing, Apex Legends compatibility with the Steam Deck has not been verified. One of the issues that fans are concerned about is the console’s ability to handle games that use Easy Anti-Cheat, like Apex.
However, Valve has assured that the console will support games using this anti-fraud program. This means that there is a high chance that Apex Legends will be playable on the Steam Deck.
Valve’s Steam Deck will be officially released tomorrow, February 25, letting fans know if there’s Apex support. It’s a popular game, and given that it’s available on Nintendo Switch (and the latest version of mobile hotspots), it seems hard to believe that Apex won’t work on Steam Deck.
