A fan-favorite map of the Apex Legends community, World’s Edge has been popular since its release in 2019 as part of Apex Legends Season 3. The map then underwent a major change at the start of Season 10.
The dismantling of the combine harvester led to changes in the marshalling yard, the processing plant and the sorting plant. The rail site became a landslide, the refinery became an air conditioner, and the separation plant became a lava siphon. Although players generally react positively to the changes, there are still those who miss the original version of the map.
Those fans will be happy to know that Reddit user u/Lucyan96 found a bug that allowed them to run across the map instead of killing them when a player flew out of the map.
Lucyan96 flew south of the map where the POI Dome is in his videos. After navigating the map, they see a reflection instead of the original World’s Edge map. The reflection is not perfect, the graphics either, but the reflection remains.
This could be attributed to the fact that EA and Respawn didn’t feel they would have to change the reflection under the map as it was only available through the glitch. But those with more conspiratorial ideas in the community might see this as a hint of the changes to come for World’s Edge.
As of now, there has been no talk of returning the map to its original state, and there likely won’t be. However, players can still hope that World’s Edge will one day return to its original state.
