Respawn developers have confirmed that a fix for Xbox input lag is working for Apex Legends.
Console players are having a bit of a hard time with Apex Legends, with Xbox users feeling the worst. The latest Awakening Collection event brought some cool features and a new legacy for Valkyrie. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only thing being promoted.
With the Event update, Xbox gamers quickly noticed huge input lag, which made for an incredibly frustrating game. With something so problematic that it made the game nearly unplayable for many, players were hoping for a quick fix.
But two weeks later, the error is still as common. Luckily Respawn has confirmed they are working on it and a bunch of fixes will be released in the next patch.
We are continuing to investigate reports of input lag experienced by some Xbox players. Thank you for your patience while we try to resolve this issue.

Those who have been following the Trello board for Apex Legends have noticed that the ‘Players experiencing input lag on Xbox Series X|S’ list has two tags: ‘In Review’ and ‘Upcoming Patch’.
A green “fix coming soon” likely means that Respawn was able to identify the issue and it’s now possible to fix it. Given how problematic input lag is, hopefully a fix will arrive sooner rather than later.
While fans still want to see major content updates in Apex patches, we can expect this to be a relatively minor and spotty patch – hopefully going so far as to ensure the proper functioning of the game.
