Another Sentinel achievement is to navigate Apex Legends again with an instant cooldown.
Cut one of the errors and it will be replaced by two others. This, of course, already seems to be the trend in Apex Legends. Shortly after the patch, a new exploit appeared for Sentinel that allows instant charging as before.
Last month, Respawn temporarily removed Sentintel from Apex, along with Rampage, due to a similar exploit. After restoring the weapon that needed to be repaired, players were quick to discover that the weapon was still broken.
This time around, the exploit appears to be caused by the Revenant, or more specifically, the Silence tactical ability. The delay requires the administration of Revenant in combination with Sentinel with a few thyroid cells. At certain dangerous beats and all weapon attacks, players can use the Revenant’s Silence ability and take quick action to bypass the weapon’s charge state.
In the RossBobSquirrel clip above, he urges players not to use the loophole in actual matches, especially in leaderboards, due to Respawns’ attempts to stop exploits. This will completely ban players.
Given the prevalence of bugs with this particular weapon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a complete overhaul of the Sentintel in the future. Maybe even the image of quitting the game. For now, players will have to be careful when encountering Revenants in the wild.
