A recent leak from Apex Legends revealed that Wingman and CAR SMG will soon be leaving the ground loot pool and moving to the replicator crafting rotation in Season 14.
At the start of Apex Legends: Saviors, specifically the VK-47 Flatline and Longbow DMR were removed from their role in the Replicator Prison and swapped the Rampage LMG for the R-301 carbine. In the first month of Season 13, some players expressed their displeasure with the current loot pool, stating that “all the funniest and most beloved weapons will be removed except for Wingman.”
With the @ezra_rc leak appearing on Twitter, it looks like Wingman is definitely going to take a step back next season.

As of press time, it’s unclear if either gun will be strained with the change, but clearly both are pretty well rated as they are.
With CAR, it’s no secret that the gun has become one of the best SMG games and one of the best choices at every stage of the game. According to a comment from the designer of Respawn Live Balance, the developers seem to know that too.
Finally, as with all leaks and rumours, take this information with a grain of salt until it is officially released by Respawn.
