It’s no secret that American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Post Malone was a big fan of Apex Legends back in the day.
Post Malone’s love of video games has only become a bigger part of his image in recent years. In 2020, he became a member of Team Envy, a sports organization. Last year, Post Malone not only released the cover of Hootie and Blowfish’s “Only Wanna Be With You” for Pokemon’s 25th anniversary, but also held a virtual concert to celebrate Pokemon Day 2021.
But the focus of Post Malone games should be Apex Legends. On June 9, Full Send Podcast aired an interview with Post Malone in which the music star expressed his gratitude for the battle royale developed by Respawn Entertainment.
In a nearly two hour and nearly 13 minute interview, Post Malone explained how he preferred Apex Legends to Fortnite and Call of Duty: War Zone after getting into the game nearly a year and a half ago.
“Fortnite never fascinated me because I didn’t want the 90s 12 year old angst to throw itself at me and literally force me to throw my monitor across the room, but it doesn’t work because I’m playing always Apex this way. So I don’t know why.
I was playing Warzone and Shits, Call of Duty and stuff like that. I’ve never been a BR guy because I’m not good at it, but something in Apex, I just started playing it and I really like it. “
Post Malone has notably played live with popular content creator and fixed shooter Timmy “iiTzTimmy” An for the past year. On the show, Post Malone also spoke about his experiences.
“I streamed three times,” Post Malone said. “We had a great time. I walked with Tim, he’s a real dog. He’s such a sweet and lovely boy and I have to join him, you know? I have to go back because it’s hard. know how to put this bullshit, so when my friend comes over, who knows what she’s doing, I’ll say “yeah nice”.

Finally, after admitting to being an Xbox gamer in the past and being a casual gamer, the post said there was something appealing to him about Apex Legends’ talent cap.
“I play with friends, good friends that I know little about, and we run around and see if we can do anything. This game is very good because you feel good whenever you are good. wrong.
“It’s a very satisfying game, but at the same time it feels like you want to smash the whole computer and computer.”
Post Malone also showed some love for his Team Envy staff and spoke about his passion for all things American sports organization.
“The Dallas team,” he said, “I saw all the blueprints of everything they did there, and it looks very, very, very, very sick. I don’t know what I can reveal, but it’s such cool nonsense.”
Finally, Post Malone shared that believe it or not, it’s not so good for players to find out they’re playing with a real star.
“A lot of times kids get bored when I say that. ‘You’re crazy!’ they say. I try to get people to be nice to me, but it doesn’t work. It never happens.
