Players say that despite recycling attempts, Apex Legends Ranked Reloaded is only making match-related issues worse.
After the introduction of Reloaded, a marketing fix for some of the biggest issues with Apex Legends’ ranked mode, more and more players are taking to social media to air their grievances. Prior to Reloaded, one of the most common issues was matchmaking, as there weren’t enough Apex Predators to fill the lobby, leading to inappropriate matches. Silver, gold and platinum players will definitely feel the heat.
In a post posted to the official Apex Legends subreddit on June 8, Quarantine user 722 describes such an experience facing the full ALGS Predator team. The attached video clearly shows the user and his friend – Platinum and Gold, 4 respectively – being steamed by predators in the lobby.
It didn’t take long for other players to express their own frustrations and experiences.
“Lmaoooook,” Jets8711 wrote, “a fair and balanced game where you play with people of your skill level.”
Ardath101 replied: “It gets worse with the rating changes. Now that there are even fewer players in Masters and Diamonds, it increases the chances of real players or gold players meeting their predecessors.
Olderman seems to have agreed, writing, “I don’t care what anyone says about new rating changes. It’s a place and not fun. You shouldn’t be under and you shouldn’t be playing with the previous 3-stack team.
Others were concerned about how the Apex rankings had changed over the years, with one user writing that the game had entered a “terrible state”. The other said they “completely gave up on the game because it lost its charm whether it won or lost”.
The developers have yet to comment publicly on the changes – they have gone unnoticed by fans. DBLTAP cannot endorse any revisions at the time of Classified’s writing.
