For Apex Legends players, some matches end early, new borders are updated, and interact with broken map walls. The new update was intended to limit camp hideouts around the map and allow for more face-to-face action, but is more of an issue for casual players with bugs.
During Season 13, many changes were introduced to improve play in regular and qualifying matches. Apex maps have cliffs and hills as well as a few ‘out of bounds’ sections and are also somewhat difficult to escape – this is even more apparent given recent changes. A player shared his frustration on Reddit as their match ended early due to these errors.
They were outside the circle and wanted to return to the Gravity Cannon area. Unfortunately for them, it was a collision at the edge of a cliff with invisible barriers preventing them from moving forward. The player ended up in a bad place, and it got worse after invisible obstacles prevented him from finding his way on the ledge. Although they eventually found an escape route, their match ended with the end of back-court time.
“This is the complete and complete reason why I hate this tempting change,” said one user.
Another user added, “I died in the same spot about two days ago because I got stuck in a floating animation and couldn’t even fly. This rocky shore is cursed.
From the responses, it’s clear that this new Respawn change does the opposite of what was intended. Instead of making camp life harder, it made it harder for all players. Usually, Respawn fixes these types of bugs quickly, so hopefully more Apex Legends players don’t catch these new bugs.
