A new leak from the Apex Legends YouTube creator has encouraged players to discuss the existence of gun stickers in the game.
Apex Legends won’t be the first game to introduce these cosmetic additions to the public. Previously, similar games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive also released such items for players to decorate their favorite weapons. However, this caused controversy, with some community members wondering whether or not to add them.
Here’s what you need to know about weapon stickers in Apex Legends.
In a new video posted to their YouTube channel on Saturday, May 28, HyperMyst revealed an image of weapon stickers that were previously hidden within the Apex Legends game files. According to the 30-second video, these stickers feature mostly captions, have a simplified “chibi” shape, and can be placed on many surfaces of any weapon, from rifles to shotguns.
Unfortunately, it’s not exactly the kind of receiver developers might want. While some are excited about their collections, others are upset that it’s not exactly what they wanted, or at least want to get the updates the public wants.
A customer said, “We’re done. Years of opening the legendary packaging have been in vain,” he said.
The other seems to agree and replied, “Imagine missing heritage pieces or leather for a sticker.”
“I love them,” added another, “but wish there was something else we wanted first.”
DBLTAP was unable to confirm the specific release date of the tags at the time of writing.
