Here’s our list of Apex Legends weapon sets for those looking to upgrade to the best weapons you’ve acquired in Season 12.
As the meta currently stands, there’s a wide array of weapons that dominate Apex Legends, as always. However, that doesn’t mean that Respawn Entertainment haven’t changed everything up a bit with their latest patch. Here are the best weapon sections to use in Apex Legends: Defiance.

Layers
At the top of the list, the Kraber .50-Cal Sniper, M600 Spitfire, Volt SMG, and G7 Scout earn free passes in Tier S while offsetting this season’s supply rotation. However, their unlucky lineup is joined by the R-301 Carbine, VK-47 Flatline, and R-99 SMG, which are still the same pick-and-play as ever in Defiance.
Stage
Some could easily consider these eight weapons to be S-tier, but it will likely take time and some real skill to get good at. While the Rampage LMG remains a great option for supporting roleplayers, each of the other options here also serve a particular playstyle. Perhaps the biggest winner of the Season 12 upgrade, the RE-45 Auto-Hammerpoint Rounds Hop-Up Combo is a disastrous second-hand option.
B-level
It’s an above average B-rank weapon, and it makes you feel like you’re solid and ready to go for a while after the heist. While they can be used to complete games, there are probably better weapons to rely on. For those who want to miss it, Mozambique is actually pretty good, especially if you can find the Hammerpoint Rounds Hop-Up for it.
layer C
According to the grand plan, these five weapons aren’t that bad. If you play the cards right, you can really win a battle with them. However, it’s probably better to go through other paths in your matches than to use them.
Layer D
Finally, there are three weapons in Tier D that may be fine at the start and end of the game, but change convincingly as the match progresses.
