Respawn Entertainment has introduced a new limited time mode for Season 12 called Control Apex Legends. “It’s described as our first major team mod in Apex Legends. This time, you fight not only with your teammates, but also with eight other players. For control of various castles in Outland.

This launch was a huge success and as players enjoy the new season and the LTM, many are wondering why they can’t stay in game mode? It’s a good question, because you can see many developers like Raven, Infinity Ward, and Activision admitting their mistakes. Developers try to find their own way from time to time and refuse to listen to their community. You see it in Warzone, and Apex Legends fans don’t want the same for their favorite game.

Redditor Butterscotchgames70 suggested it here. They asked a simple question.

“Listen, I’m not a game developer or anything, but I’m really curious why Respawn doesn’t keep these game mods for players.”

The Respawn developer responded similarly.

“Hi, that’s a good question and we don’t know the answer 100%. But we have a few things in mind:

It is certainly a particular type of philosophy. Fear of losing can increase traffic and sales like the McRib. Why does it only come out sometimes? Especially if it’s so popular. Indeed, McDonald’s believes that with its launch it will always sell more than if it were part of the menu.

The same goes for Apex Legends. Respawn thinks these limited-time mods will be successful because you can only play them for so long. If they become a big part of the game like Arenas, you need to keep balancing it. Players are getting bored and asking for more content for the mod, so the team needs to allocate resources. The game stays fun and clean if they keep it for a limited time.

It might not be the answer you want, but Respawn has one.
